About the Counsellor:

Lenore Walker (she/her) is an Registered Psychotherapist-Qualifying with seven years of experience in the field of mental health, counselling, psychotherapy, and art psychotherapy. Known for her calming and encouraging presence, she is dedicated to co-creating a supportive and healing space for individuals.

Philosophy:

Lenore believes that each person has the strength, courage, and wisdom to explore their challenges with grace and grit on a journey toward wholeness. Through collaborating with clients, she supports them as they explore their path, discover their wisdom, and make changes that bring satisfaction and fulfilment in the present moment. Known for her affirming and supportive presence, Lenore helps clients find safety to engage with their challenges in ways that allow them to honour their story and find the resources they are seeking to face their questions, reflect in safe space and find what holds heart and meaning for them now. Lenore focuses on a person-centred approach that utilizes a variety of traditional and innovative healing-centred approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. She believes that clients can become confident and settled with what initially feels difficult, collaborating until a way-through emerges.

Therapeutic Approach:

Her counselling expertise lies in her grounding in Jungian psychology to holistically address the effects of trauma, difficult relationships/interactions, and managing life transitions. Lenore is particularly adept at integrating creative approaches with cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and internal family systems.
