How To Know If You Are Covered
Do you have extended Health Benefits?
- If no, then you are not covered and will need to pay out of pocket.
- If you cannot afford full fee therapy, fill in our reduced cost application form (coming soon).
- If yes, start by checking with your extended health benefit provider.
You will usually find a category for Counselling/Therapy/Psychotherapy if you are covered for mental health benefits.
Find out which designations (see Therapist’s Credentials in Canada) are covered through your insurance policy and if you can submit a receipt for reimbursement. These can be province specific, for example in Ontario RP or RPQ. As well they can be discipline specific, RSW Registered Social Worker or RP/RPQ Psychotherapist (or other counselling designations – see Therapist’s Credentials in Canada). Some insurance benefits plans only enable clients to use certain providers.
You will need to check to make sure that you are covered.
When you work with us. You will pay for your session with a credit card or bank transfer. When you attend your session you will be emailed a receipt. You then need to submit the receipt for reimbursement with your insurance company
